Real Wedding
I am always bragging about how I have the coolest clients (is it bragging if it’s true?), but Carolyn and Brian really take the (wedding) cake. I met this lovely couple before they even started dating – way back in my days in the newspaper biz. I was the Events Manager (natch), Carolyn was the Arts and Copy Editor, and Brian was a Senior Editor (he later become Editor in Chief – fancy!). Their mutual love of Philadelphia, homebrew, and being awesome brought them together, until one day they found themselves at the ultra-hip Crane Arts Building reciting their vows.
Check out these lovely photos of their DIY wedding from Inna Spivakova of peach plum pear photography! The couple have such great style – from Carolyn’s sassy short dress from BHLDN and retro updo to their homebrewed favors that they called “MatrimoniALE.” They even collected works of art from their guests who were asked to send in doodles with their RSVP’s. They took advantage of the art gallery walls by hanging the artwork and awarding blue ribbons to the best!
Jennie Love of Love n Fresh flowers killed it with her organic shapes, bright pops of orange and stand-out artichokes. Speaking of, take notice of the good-enough-to-eat fondant artichoke created by Zoe Lukas of Whipped Bakeshop on their cake.
