Fairmount Philadelphia Horticulture Center Wedding
Did you know May 25th is National Wine Day? Neither did we, but that didn’t stop Rebecca and Chris from throwing a wine-themed wedding on that day this year! (Side note – don’t you think the purple lanterns look like big, billowing clusters of grapes? That was totally on purpose.) I had a blast getting to know this couple (they are hysterical and I’m hoping I can get Rebecca to teach me how to scuba dive!) and am so honored that they included me in their big day.
As usual, the Fairmount Horticulture Center (the “Hort” for short) steals the show with its gorgeous vistas. Rebecca did such a good job with her DIY hand made wedding details – I’m especially in love with the ombre wine cork heart she crafted. What can I say about the food? Starr Events shine as always and I will cherish those bacon-wrapped dates forever. Purple was the color of the day, and Alfreds of Philadelphia paired the perfectly contrasted purple and green flowers. Additional thanks to DJ Scott Pomante for playing the Time Warp(!), Journeys of the Heart for providing Urbane who was a wonderful officiant, Termini’s for the awesome cake, and Synergetic for lighting up the joint.
